Madaan Motors is a Thief

Story from Joerg
Bought a bike from Arun. He was a really nice guy - and so trusting.
Big on Karma and stuff. Anyway he says that he's pretty well connected
and that he's the man (the only man!) who can successfully handle port
authorities etc to get your bike out of the country. So anyway - I go
along with him. Order a bike with a small tank. Give him some extra
baggage and ask him to pack it with my bike. Also he said he'll throw
in a single seat for me (not the split kind). I also order the big
spares kit. After months (months!) of calling and being pushed around
and assurances that my bike has been sent, never receiving the
tracking numbers he promises to send, the bike finally arrives. Only
it's been fitted with a big tank (so obviously not the bike I saw in
the workshop), no single seat, no spares, no baggage, no papers!,
broken parts, assembled together that doesn't work, no workshop
manual. Anyway I'm still amazed that he actually sent it - still not
sure why he did when he could've messed me around much better by not
sending it at all. Anyway - it has taken 1.5 years to eventually
figure out how to assemble the bike properly so that it actually works
- and that after spending another $300 on spare parts I had flown in
from England, as the fitted parts - like the alternator - were broken.
WIth the bike that I eventually received, and all the things that were
not according to my specs, and all the things that were missing, and
all the parts that were broken, and the bike not assembled in any
working condition - I can only conclude that it wasn't a mistake. He
is as dishonest. Which is disappointing, as he seemed the opposite in
person.

Story from Balu
Being an American biker coming from a culture of riders who love the ride and bikes I was sure when I went to see this Aron Madon and all his pony's(bikes) that he was much in love with bikes and the people who rode them as I am. WRONG.

I bought his smiles, I bought his lies, I bought his stories of long friendships with others, I bought his bikes (one for export one for India) and even bought the chi for him and mutilating manipulating mechanics'.

It was the time when Bush and Halliburton and there international community of heartless misfits were laying there plan of removing a culture and way of life from the mid east while fleecing the Americans and Europeans for there hard working earnings.

It was a time when I personally believed that any persons building bikes and smiling at the same time was true to the fact, they love bikes. Not so.

 My bike:

I road the bike, pushed the bike, had after finding the engine was not new like he said, I closed it and let  five other mechanic work on the bike to no avail. So we put the bike in a truck to the nearest city of Dara Dunn and low and behold Madon motors had 2 other bikes that had been abandoned there. So I put them in a truck along with mine and sent them all to Delhi thinking I'm doing him a favor for returning his bikes. Wrong again.

His boys worked on my bike for 2 days without any out come, so I asked the obvious question; let's just give me another bike. Sorry sir you bought this one you must keep this one.OK, I say .So again they start to open the bike, I showed him there was nothing new about the parts he said were completely new for 62.000 rupes.

I got just a little pissed off and went to the signboard man and asked for a sandwich type signboard that reads my fillings. SAME SAME GEORGE BUSH CAN'T KEEP CONTRACT WITH UN (BACK SIDE) SAME SAME MADON MOTORS CANT KEEP CONTRACT WITH CUSTOMERS.

After the 3rd day of protesting Madon motors in the market from 10:00am to 7:00pm The association called me in and asked if I would stop because business has been disrupted by traffic jams hooting there horns and little parties of snacks being bought for me in honor of the occasion and tourist are not coming to the market because they now distrust all the shops. I said yes in respect. I left the bike and the money with Madon motors and vowed to set this market straight.

A few years latter many bikers have help build the newest fornorsowned shop/hotels and club. BulletWallas.

Now life is better even if I didn't get my exported bike.

I never bought from him...didn't like him much, but his dad seems OK. My buddy Phil bought a bike off of him and it had many problems. The problem for Arun was that Phil was here for a couple of years and could sort this out. When he started to have more problems than Arun's repairs would solve I sent him to Bawa to have his bike fixed. Once it was opened by Bawa it could be seen that a monkey had been hired to build the motor. Both of us went to see Arun and rag on him, Balu caught a little on the side lines as we ripped into him. He eventually coughed up a new motor and Bawa put it back together...all is well now. We threat we used was to contact the British trade commissioner as we had been lead to believe Arun has some special trade arrangement with the UK and could loose a nice chunk of his exports if investigated.

A friend from the Austrailian Embassy called me today to inform me about
this amazing start of feed back that is rightly due.....
My stories:
Went to see aron madaaan a few years ago because he was in lonely planet,
so I thought we could trust him.” wrong".
Sold my mate and me two lemons for a hefty price of 68.0000 each (800 pounds
aprox). You would think for that price he would make a good piece of
equipment.
One was fixing here and there for 7000 rupes more and the other was a
complete rebuild after 3 weeks of patching.
Also met a couple in Thailand last year who paid for a bike to be ship to
England, they never received it.
Wouldn’t trust this guy.

Story from Duke
Went to India in sept 2004 had a great time and after meeting many people riding the royal Enfield I thought I would bring 1 home to Netherlands. I was taken to his shop buy a man in the street (guess he pays commission) saw the bikes looked nice so he demanded full payment in advance. I purchased one 350cc for 86.0000 rupees (1.000 euro)i was thinking for that price im sure it will come. I have got emails from him saying no parts are available and the bike had been shipped to me. Till yesterday im waiting on my bike. After reading the stories I don’t wait any more. I know he won’t give me a bike or my money. If he was here,he would be in jail. Damn liar

Story from Simon van Erp
I am also waiting for two years now for a few bikes from Madaan.
He is called by me a hundred of times but also called by friends who can
speak the lanquage of Madaan. Noting helped. He assured me that the stuff
was shipped and kept saying that it should be here already. he had papers
but could not fax them. They were not readable according to him.
It really is a crook. There are lots of crooks there taking profit of us,
good believers.

my story about mr arun madaan relates to a container load of bikes and spares sent about two years ago i will not deal with him again firstly, two bsa bikes sent turned out to be not the same bikes that i purchased from him their condition i would describe as scrap ,parts missing included dynamos horns speedos rear stands ,and cables, engine numbers were removed and log books missing ,neither bike will actualy run one bike the front forks were so bent the bike sits sideways both bikes still sit in my workshop the cost of putting them in roadworthy condition far exceeds their value, two scooters in same container had parts removed keys missing and registration certificates missing , both these machines caused a problem with local police becuase chassis numbers had been altered they still sit in my workshop unable to be registered, a diesel enfield in same consignment had keys missing papers missing and frame rusted through so badly it had to be replaced at my cost eventualy i sold it at a loss, another  army g2 model i paid for never turned up ive never recieved it, one thousand five hundred pounds of spare parts never turned up either hes been promising to send them now for two years i still have not recieved them, my father s pride and joy triumph bonnivile i brought the fuel tank to arun to get some copies made i never recieved the copies and ive never seen my fathers original tank either the old triumph still sits in my workshop minus petrol tank and serves as a reminder never to do any buisness again with madaan , he even stole a book about royal enfields ive had since i was 17 years old he denies that i ever lent it to him, as if all this wasnt bad enough the shipping is a whole new story i ended up paying nealy nine hundred pounds for storage because arun never sent bill of laden , phoning him or his crooked father does no good hell just hang up the phone on you , what realy goads me is that i recomended him to a friend who he ripped off and led to a fist fight ,you have been warned
